In 2022 Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation held their 20th annual Health Foundation Gala. This year the theme was Enchanted Garden, and the funds went towards important medical equipment, such as a C6 Ventilator.
The C6 ventilator has a far longer battery life than older models, making it ideal for transportation for patients of all ages. The new ventilator will also serve to enhance the ventilators currently used on newborns. Of the approximately 1,000 babies delivered every year in Lloydminster, 10% of them require assistance with breathing after birth, and this ventilator will allow them to stay in their community receiving care rather than being transported away.
